After moving to Crete, this is our first Christmas in Greece. We are able to explore Christmas festivities in Athens, Greece as well as Chania in Crete to see if Greece is a Christmas destination. In Athens we see Syntagma Square and Little Kook decorated for Christmas, while in Chania we walk around old town and see boats decorated in Christmas lights in the Old Venetian Port of Chania. Life in Greece at Christmas is more laid back than most Christmas destinations in Europe, making it a peaceful yet beautifully festive place to experience the holidays. We discuss our time with family and our first Christmas living in Greece.
